Prescription Medication Notice

In preparation for handling a majority of your prescription medication needs through the Health & Wellness Center, if you chose to have your medications dispensed here please read the following information………..

The reason we are greatly expanding our pharmacy operations here at the Health & Wellness Center is to save you and the Insurance Fund money.  You will save money because medications dispensed here will not have co-pays, the Fund will save money because most medications dispensed here will cost the Fund approximately 50%-75% less than would be paid at a retail location such as CVS or Walgreens.

In order to dispense medications from our medical facility the medications must be prescribed by one of our physicians, physician assistants or nurse practioner. We cannot fill a prescription written by an outside doctor, the reason for this is because we will not be a state licensed pharmacy, but rather a physician dispensary.  We can write the prescription for you once one of our providers has reviewed your medical case and agrees with the medication order.  You will need to contact one of the providers here at the Health & Wellness Center to review your medications in order to write the prescriptions necessary for you to have the medications filled here.  If you have been to the facility for a physical or other treatment it may just necessitate a phone conversation with a provider, in rare cases a visit with the provider may be necessary.  If you have never been to the facility, a visit with a provider will be necessary.

Medications will be available for pick-up here at the facility or they can be mailed to your address on file.

Generally the only type of medications we will carry will be generics and formulary medications.  We will not stock controlled substances or specialty medications as a general rule.

The full Sav-Rx retail and mail order program is still available for your use.

In order for us to prepare our inventory properly so that we can make sure that we have the medications on hand that you will need please send us a list of your medications, listing name of medication, strength and dose; i.e. Metformin, 500mg, 2x daily.  We do not need your name; this information is for inventory stocking purposes only.  The information can be emailed to clinic@myffbenefits.com or faxed to 561-721-3106

We hope to start having medications available for you sometime in January 2014, we will make an announcement.
